If you fall, dont spread your fingers out else they may get chopped off.

Never been myself but always hear people say this.

hit the deck and roll into a ball. You then shout skater down and everyone will stop and let you up.

Thats the proper proceedure that will be implemented in the place you are going.

push perpendicularly against the waiting blade if you're going proper slow. when you get some speed up, reduce the slip angle or your legs will be all over.

do the boots up tight

when you fall over, don't do it with your hands and fingers stretched out infront of you.

watch out for annoying little kids running rings around you chasing each other.

Try and fall on your ass!
Try not to get in others way.
Learn real quick how to stop!
Its alot like rollerblading but no good to you if you never done that neither.
Go slow.

yes, keep you fingers in fists; I've seen many injuries, never severed but close.

Stay close to the perimeter; everyone will skate circuits in the same direction give or take and try to forget about the people behind you.

Most important rule is to look where you want to go; invariably by looking you shift yor body weight in such a way that you will head in that direction.

Also if you do fall, aim to fall on your front, not your back; it sounds difficult but you can control the direction of a fall - I'd even go so far as to say if you do start to fall, don't try to stop yourself - just go with it; by trying to stop a fall on ice, you'll just cause yourself to fall at a higher speed, normally backwards
