are they camera specific? iv got an old one that my dad used with his manual slr years and years ago, flash gun still works and everything but would it work on a dslr now? or are they camera specific?

They work on most, i've got a 1980s one in my boot, its really good but looks wank and is old

this one doesnt look too bad iirc nothing like what they do now though, but would just beat the built in flash

Watch you don't fry your DSLR, some older flash guns use higher voltage.

ahh kk, ill have a look when i get my camera (hopefully in sept) and see what it says etc.
