well took the wifes rover 214 for its mot yesterday....epic fail

handbrake has no reserve travel
needs all brake pipes replacing
front brake discs warped and weak effort
rear indicators flashing white instead of yellow
emissions were off the scale,

co....3.04% (should be 0.3%)
hc....385ppm (should be 200ppm)
lambda.....10.92 (should be 1.09)

mechanic plugged his fault code reader in, lambda sensor and map sensor both came up with faults. There was no eml though.

more expense (as she wont part with her beloved rover) lol

just bought sensors off ebay and ordered brake discs and pads at local motor factors.

also a delivery truck for my work got cut up by a sprinter van, he tried to sneak round the back of it while the truck was turning round, the tail lift caught the van, pushed it out the way, and remoddled the side of it.

the truck... had some paint transfer on the tail lift

tbh.....she does, but I can't complain as she works full time while I stay at home to look after our youngest (max aged 3).
and when i was modifying my corsa, she bought all the bits.....so i'm rather lucky in a way

My corsa always used to go just over the limit, would have to take it for a right thrashing to get the cat warmed up.
