bit of a longshot but here goes

must be mid 90's.. remember wathcing it with parents when i was younger.
pretty much its a film about some kind of underwater station and it gets attacked by some kind of monster with tentacles

now the only vivid scene i can remember was when they were in some kind of escape pod and they had to have injections to stop them dying from depressurisation (surfacing too fast) and one of them didnt take it and ends up bleeding..

does it ring any bells with anyone?
