Have you driven one? I drove a 1.8 one and tbh my old corsa 1.6 was loads faster

yes i drove my mates once, with a sports decat straight through system and i can certainly say it accelrates a lot quicker than a shonky corsa

Benchmark test right there. Actually thats probably why there so crap, if Rover only wanted to make it quicker than a corsa.

Looks really well on those new wheels (the typo has been fixed they are 19's ) and the interior is awesome imo

Woohoo! TVR coming back! Great, might mean i have a slim chance of owning one! They still owned by that Russain?

As for MG/Rover, the Engines from the factory are highly restricted, get a decent exhaust system on and they start to liven up alot. but you'll probably find the TF your Mum had was the 135, without the VVC to take it up to 160bhp! add in the factor that a corsa weights in at half as much and it will be faster! over 1/4miles my GSi Nova was faster than ZR160's....but top end there was alot more untill the Head Gasket goes!
