Them roads look mad. There are a few round here like that. It's fun in the snow coz no one is stupid enough to go on them..... well apart from me
It looks like your going very fast due to the camera man having parkinsons.

give him the sack, and the wooden spoon
There's a jump round here that is on a 60 road however it kicks up the pass side, so if you don't know that will happen then your going to be bricking it
I might get my mate to record me going over it..... still not done that yet. Hmmmm.

I've driven quick on roads, but not on single track roads with blind bends...
Just showing your road experience there really.
I've been down enough single track roads (slowly) to be comfronted with either, another car, people walking or tractors.
Not worth the risk. Far safer to save it for the track, or at least do it on a piece of road that has good visibility (so you can see there is nothing on it or round the corner) before you gun it.

The first minute just looks as though you can't drive and you change your gears too late / early lol.
I have hammered it down country lanes, but never than thin before.

Exactly.
I'll never hammer it around a bend without knowing its clear, or at least wide enough that you'll have space to dodge / avoid whatever you see.
The fact you caught cars up on some of the roads proves there is traffic that uses the road, it's just you were lucky they were going the same way as you. If you had gone around a bend at 60 and seen a car coming the other way doing 20-30 mph, you'd have no chance to stop in time.
The fact also the roads look bumpy, it'd make your ABS kick in and stop you being able to brake at all. I know in my Gti, if you hit bumps while braking hard, the brakes 'release' as it thinks your locking up wheels (when infact they're going airborne briefly over the bumps).
Sorry to get on the high horse etc, but there's generally a reason why young drivers can't have 106 gti's and the like as their first car, and it usually ends up with 'driver + friends killed in dangerous driving down country lane' headline.

i do agree with alot of that, its not my first car tho, i have been driving a year, but i wasnt going round bends at 60, i didnt even get to 60 alot. there is nowhere to have fun around my area apart from the country lanes...

...and as if beeping the horn does fuck all. What is it, like a milisecond warning for people to bail into a bush?
I do agree. Dangerous roads for doing that.

Even Paul J hasn't got full road experaince yet, that video is basically showing why Paul and I have rediculus insurance quotes.
I've driven lanes like that in the IOW, meeting old drivers round bends, pedestrians on the road, tractors, animals.
Then theres the shity road conditions. ABS is one of them as Paul said, you hit a shit bit of tarmac and the brakes let go becuase they think the wheels are locked, then you carrying 55mph into a 30mph corner with your foot on the brake.
And to add to that, you've got the music on loud, and youve got some mate in there who thinks it well cool blud. Time and aplace and all that, that road isnt it.
Where you were on the first bit of the video looked fine, no people, open space, can see round the corners.
Idiot.
