Had surgery about 3 years ago to remove a birth mark that was starting to "grow" , tests came back as being a benign growth. Now for the last week or so i seem to be having the odd blood blister forming on the scar which has never happened before, looks like its coming back Will be phoning doctor tommorow but do you think its anything to worry over? Im shitting myself

On the subject who else has a birth mark? This ones on the back of my head, and have a huge fuck off one that covers my right knee its shaped like the United Kingdom lol

I have one up the middle of my chest which goes up over my right shoulder and behind my right ear.

You can only really see the bit on the chest though, unless I'm really well tanned

I wouldn't worry too much about yours, if you've noticed it now, the chances are it's very early

I wouldn't get in a worry about it.

The cells that cause the skin to grow in this sort of way lie quite deep and if not all of them have been successfully removed the previous skin surface layer will start to proliferate again as you describe.

The main thing I would take comfort from being the pathology of the previously removed skin as benign.

Chances of something malignant growing, over an exact area where something completely benign was removed, in such quick chronological succession are slim to none.

So yes, back to GP for examination and potential referral for definitive opinion/treatment. But don't panic!
