The course isn't much, the licence is the expensive bit. Our door staff are on about 14quid an hour, but all have other jobs. The course itself is great, they go through all the 'proper guidelines' with you, then at the end tell you to forget all You've been told as none of it works in a real life situation lol

sia license regs change all the time, license is renewable i think its now every 2 years, training depends on which agents you go through. best thing to do is to go to a well known nightclub, and get them pay for it for you, and then work for them and pay it back out of wages.

its a good job, and if get good venues, like liquid, aruba fluid them sort of places, you will get £80-£120 for 5-6 hours work.

Renewable every 3 years from when the liscence was issued, course and that cost all in £350-£400 depending on where you do it etc.

Paywise down here it tends to be £10- £15 an hour depending on experience and location/venue.

Its a good way to earn extra money but its also very addictive! Lots of people i ve worked with, (inc myself) have stopped workin the door but returned 3 weeks later!! PMSL

Def worth doing as its a growing industry especially in these dark days of credit crunch n that!
