cost me £150 and did it all in one day 9am-3pm, worth doing just for the extra tuition for motorways and different driving conditions

I got mine cheap, but alot of insurance companies including the one I went with, don't accept it.
I found it good for motorway driving though, as obviously you don't do that on your driving lessons.

Check insurance quotes with and without Passplus. I never done it as when i took my test it had only just been released. Insurance companies didn't really wanna know.
If it's for a bit more experence behind the wheel, i'd just get out there once you have passed.

It cost me £90 to do it IIRC, and saved £100.
It was fun though, get to do it in your own car, and you're not expected to stick to doing it the way you did in lessons (so no hands at 10 to 2, no feeding the wheel etc).

I didn't bother with it, but I think in theory it's meant to be equivalent to 1 year's NCB, but it probably depends on the insurance company.
After passing I drove round loads and went on the motorway the first time last week, 90 miles of it in one go Stopped a couple of miles in then couldn't be bothered to again until I got to Devon about 120 miles away at least.
Numberwang!
