a friend of mine has a 1.5 td corsa and was wondering if he could make it any quicker i.e upping boost, front mount cooler dump valve etc any one done this got pics etc ?

that all you can do ? he was wanting a dump valve lol and a front mount just for looks etc

You can put those things on but a dump valve wont make it quicker and an FMIC wont give it much.

FMIC you can do but dump valve is expensive as its a diesel.

Thats true Gregg. Looking at £100+ for a dump valve.

TBH, wastegate sounds nicer anyways.

he just asked me will he get wastegate chatter with boost turned up induction kit and exaust

not wastegate chatter as such but you can hear the turbo spinning a lot more with just a cone filter

Can you tell my girlf has a TD?

Up the boost and fuelling, theres also the white ring mod on the fuel pump. I want to have a go at it myself but not all that clued up on it. Theres a tutorial here http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=35931

Diesels or TD's shouldn't be able to have dump valves because of the way the air flows or something?

but recently you can buy kits especially for the diesel engines, but I have no idea how they work

I plan on upping the boost and doing the white ring mod on my girlf's car after our holiday, that'll be fun

people that have dump valves on diesels are wasting there time they are a gimmic, diesels don't have throttle butterflys.

the ones on stilos, 306 d turbos audi turbos etc they all seem to work fine

the best mod i did to mine wen i first started drivin which costs u absolutely nothing is adjust the max fuel screw on the pump only 1/2 turn inwards u will find it smokes a lil bit more but goes like sh*t of a shovel
