I picked this up from Northampton from an ebay sale a while back.
'92 E36 325i SE for the grand sum of £530 with 6months tax + test.

My previous one was ruined before i'd had a chance to lower it, but got these Weitec springs for £55. The wheels i bought for the previous one and were £125 with decent rubber.

gave it a wash, polish, wax last week, and got these pics at the weekend. It's pretty swirly, but came up reasonably shiney.

I don't really have any plans, apart from maybe sort out the rusty rear panel. Otherwise it's just enjoy the fucker.
I might change the rear lights and lose the spoiler for a lip type one at some stage, but that's not pressing.

Oh, and take off the ring badge until i've been myself.

Like?

I'm not really bothered by it being a saloon. i don't think they look worse than the coupe, plus it's quite usefull.
plus the 'loons have racing heritage

mileage is about 165k, but it still pulls pretty strong and feels nice and tight

most £530 cars make the drivers look like badgers, but this is smart!

i ordered a new 7/8th's plate which came at the weekend, but like a badger i added a space after the K, so i'm not sure if it'll look stupid once it's on.

The grey doesn't bother me too much, but if i see some coded bumpers cheap enough then i'll have a look. not a priority though.
M3 rears would almost certainly be done first, but as it was so cheap, if i change too much it'll end up costing more than i paid for it for mods

the springs were labelled as -50mm which i was doubtful about, but i think it's gone that far or more. Really happy with the stance

Bumpers dont need to be colour coded, just get the heat gun on them and get them black mate
New standard plates always tidy a car up for some reason!

Nice motor there mate, especially for the price. Heat gun on the bumpers would look great, but lights etc first definitely

i'm not sure the heatgun would work here.
they're not grained like you'd expect.
the inserts are grained, but they're still nice and black as you can see.

would the heatgun work on smooth plastic and not leave them in a patchy mess?

Crikey, not seen an unpainted bumper variant in such a long time. I remember when they came out on a 'J' plate and how gash they looked compared to all the lovely brand new E30 325i Sports and M3 and Alpina cars of the time, especially as all the E36s seemed to be green 318s with plastic hub caps. I bloody hated them on sight.

That looks very smart lowered and on those rims in the dark grey.

On the E36's you use car polish on the bumpers. This is what I used when I valeted cars at the BMW dealer back in the day!

Using a heatgun on these bumpers wouldn't work.
