As above, got an interview for an internal ICT job within the council.

I hate interviews Not looking forward to it at all, but its a bit more mey than im currently on and its a sliding scale so will move up every so often and get more responibility etc. Basically once your in the IT section then your sorted.

Nervous already

Just back from one this morning

Don't beat yourself up about it, talk to them as if you were talking to your girlfriends parents calm and assured but polite.

I don't know why i'm trying to dish out advice actually ive probably flunked

You not have a good one then mate?

Im usually really good once im in and settled, but worry alot untill then.

Once your in a job within one sector of a council then basically its a 'job for life' kind of thing.

If your one of the only internal people applying for the job then it'd be very much in your favour!

Well theres actually 3 positions so go an even better chance

Know for sure a mate of mine has an interview aswell, used to work with him when I was an apprentice in a smaller IT unit in the council.

As you say tho, once im in im laughing. IF i get in

Middle of the month then i'd have to go get drug tested. Best not be within the vacinity of TITP or i'll have to go with a mask on to steer clear from passive dope smoking

Usually let you know with council jobs the same day so I may know around the same time as you I feel this could be a Hammer and Ryan got drunk as they did/didn't get the jobs

Thought I'd update this thread to let you all know I had my interview last Friday. Went really well was probably the best i've had. Also found out there are now 4 vacancies in the section instead of 3. There were 8 people for interview so have a 50/50 chance.

Should find out either today or tomorrow so will keep you updated. Gonna be gutted if I don't get a place though as interview went so well.

P.S. Any updates Hammer? (When you've recovered from the weekend )

A week after interview they rang and im now back in the IT department on a sliding scale contract Well pleased
