He pleaded guilty yesterday though, being sentenced today and cant see anything less than more time being added on considering what he got last time.

The Telegraph:

Barton, currently in Walton jail in Liverpool after being sentenced for six months following a separate assault incident in the city centre at Christmas, is likely to be handed a suspended sentence for the attack on Dabo.

With the genuine possibility that Barton could be released on parole, though forced to wear an electronic tag, this week, he may be afforded the opportunity to rebuild his career at St James' Park.
