Thats what pisses me off, calibras are really nice cars especially the turbos.

Why rip it out and stick it in a shopping trolley.

Jambo's old calibra was mint as fuck and much nicer than any corsa.

If they are rusty as hell and a total dog on the body then fair enough.

But to buy one in that condition purely for the engine seems a waste. I'd like to see that go to a calibra enthusiast.

Cant see the resemblance tbh

And also they get put in corsas / novas because they proberly weigh half as much, and like Dean says a lot are proberly quite rusty and seen better days.

IF he wants close to 2K for it, why not get a recon one from Vaux. Then get second hand loom, MAF sensor and what not.

Then you have a 0 miler for around the same cash.

Because the talk about Vaux doing that for 2k was for the C20XE not the LET....well as far as I know.

Also there would be a lot more things than just loom,MAF.

I highly doubt theyd supply the gear box
Clutch
Millions of sensors
ECU
Cooling
Sump

Not sure about engine components inside too, does it come with internals?

It would be a shame to break it yes, but if its going in a minter that is capable of doing a 13sec 1/4 mile then why not

Just buy the calibra, you'll get alot of your money back from the bits you don't need..

You'll need on top of that calibra - engine mounts, shafts, exhaust, and a blanking plate to 2wd from 4wd...
