I will be uninsured from the 12th to the 18th of July.

This doesnt help, because I've been offered some work which pays silly moneys which requires commuting for one week (I'm finished at the shool for those who care!).

Bell want silly money to renew becuase i passed my test on the 18th July, so in their eyes I haven't had a licence for 2 years (600£+ increase). So I said OK, i'll get it down by just not insuring myself till the 18th, when I say ive got 2 years exp on my UK full licence and thats all gravyyyyy.

So what can I do if I neeeeed to drive.

Being 19 I can't take out a temp policy for less than £371 for 7 days, can't use Mums car because she needs it. Can I rent ANYTHING from any company? Any other bright ideas?

Ideas on a postcard please.

Bus? Obviously not rent one but 22 miles is quite a bit. But nowhere will let you rent a car unfortunately.

Its 1 bus 3 trains and a 1 mile walk. Trust me, i've explored every other option sooo far, but driving is the only way to get there

You can't cancel it for free. You have to pay the first big deposit and you won't get that back.

I could renew for the same price as taxis

A quick google tells me that if I was 19 in USA I could hire a 3.0 V6 sedan
