Im going to see a corsa 1.4 8v tonight with 100k in silver.
The mileage is a bit high but im getting it for 650 quid and it has a full MOT.
I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with owning these corsa 1.4 8v's with regards to fuel economy and relliablity?
Also in the adverts it claims that these are the ''high torq'' engines. What does this mean?
Thanks for you replies in advance.
Cheers

i wouldnt bother with the 1.4 8v single port injection, go for either the 1.4 16v or a 1.4 8v sri mpi

oh and regards to your questions:
they are very good on fuel and the 8valve engine are also very reliable.
not the fastest engine but nevertheless reliable and good on fuel

Yes it does have body coloured bumpers. what does this hi torq mean thing?
Also it seems very slow and quite thirsty according to auto traders technical data doing only 38.2 mpg on the combined cycle and 60 in 14 secs! lol

But i know these technical data things can be dodgy and i would take owners advice rather than results that are achieved under test conditions.
Cheers for the replies and the help btw.
