Weird question i know...
I can't phone my mobile from the landline because it diverts to BT for some reason.
When it diverts to BT they want to know my phone number.
But i don't know my phone number. Can't find any bills with it on (live in a student house and the phone stuff is someone elses bill, who's binned all the bills )
Tried logging on to their website with the account number, and that asks for the home number as well
Is there a code i can put in on the land phone to find it out?

Dial 999 and ask for the police or whatever you fancy. When they put you through they will read out your number to the operator they transfer you to...

sounds like it won't connect as it can't bill you.
call operator and request reverse charges call to your mobile.
they should then ask you if you want to recieve the call from such and such a number.

Long story short, i was phoning to sort out a new line at the house i'm moving in to, was an 0800 number, which worked fine, and just asked the number i was calling from.
Setup a new line for new house, and found out my existing phone number.
Turns out the bill hasn't been paid by one of my housemates, just seemed weird that the line was still working, just wouldn't let us use it for anything that cost, i assumed they'd just stop the line completely.
