Love scoobies but not a fan of this one, maybe if it had tints and a nicer set of bumpers

urm

asking for trouble imo, probably been kicked in all its life and at 95k, bottom ends probably about to let go, and rebuilds arnt cheap

stay away imo

dont get me wrong i adore my rst ive done alot of work to it an ive done it all myself even the repaint so its harder to let go of it but its not practical for kids an there starting to come on the brain now

ind kit, exhaust and a boost controller will see you to 280bhp sti power mate

just offering my advice, because these cars are a whole different ball game and i know for a fact, 95k on a subaru engines asking for trouble, 10k in reciepts or not

i know wrighty mate but i just have a soft spot for the sti wagon, its just had full service,water pump an timing belt done, im grateful for the advice

Give it a good run Go somewhere and thrash the tits off it to make sure it goes well etc and if he is in the car during the test drive he might be making sure you dont drive it hard and therefor it may hide problems with the engine that he doesnt want you to find

Also put it in 5th at a low speed and test the clutch.Gearbox's are a bit weak so it might 'snatch' a bit going into 2nd wether going up or down the box.

Reverse it at a bit of a speed and make sure it dosn't whine too much.As Scotty says it needs to be thrashed to make sure there isn't any boost issues etc.If he objects to any of this then walk away.
