Bored at work with nothing to do
Design residential estates and basically house builders have just stopped building , laying off staff etc. Not good
Anyone else struggling under the current climate?

Got an email about a supplier increasing prices due to the cost of steal. Some racking has gone up 22%
But apart from that, the racking/warehouse/logistics industry doesn't seem too bad. We're as busy as ever at work.

Not yet, but I doubt next years uptake will be brilliant with the increased cost of living. I work for a private school.

Yep. Not majorly though yet, still, won't be long until there is nothing to do. Work for DHL btw, on behalf of Argos, so if more and more people stop buying, the more chance there is of people being laid off..

All started across the pond in the good ol' USA, just unbelievable how reliant our economy is on theirs and doom mongering has fired the flames even more!

Before I left work for my op we had slowed down considerably. We had been silly busy for the year up until then. It might have picked up in the past couple of weeks though

My dad is hugely affected being a bricklayer. He has had to lower rates for the men that work for him and everything. Not good times. He is pricing up a whole site very very keenly, then being asked to drop it 9%. It then works out he has done all the brick and block work of the site for less than what 1 house retails at
