all this from someone who did mechanics at the college

awww what i was told boost gauges gave you at least 10bhp depending on engine size and that you could have a dump valve on a non turbo car damn pikey's

oil temp imo
My GTI has one as OE and its nice knowing when its up to temp before you go booting it. Much better than water temp

Not as good as my mechanic mate who said, i quote "An induction kit is the equivalent to a third of a turbo"
What a fucking idiot. Of course, I then asked "so would 3 induction kits mean you had a turbo?", "what psi will it be running?", etc
His tutor told him that stupid fact, so it must be true

would of been even worse if he said it how i read it
i missed the 'of a' out when reading it so it looked like 'equivalent to a third turbo'

Honestly tho, you can't blame them if the person teaching them is thick.

The thing is...if they're like my 'mate' then they'll argue it to the death and get really wound up. You get the typical "look, who's gonna be right, you or my teacher?!"
