I worked mine out, End on the month I used the last tank in the golf carefully to see what the difference was.

http://www.pug306.net/mpg-calculator/

£53 worth of Fuel got me 445 Miles at 113.9ppl.

43.5mpg at 11.91 pencepm

My old erm... "Style of driving" would get me 310 miles to the same amount.

Which was 30.3mpg at 17.1 pencepm

So quite a difference.

Then I did a quick one for the corsa off the top of my head...

Miles 240, £49 fuel, 119.9ppl:

26.7mpg at 20p a mile

Costs me about 10p/mile.

Every time I go to see the missus, it costs be £2 to get there and back

EDIT: That calculator is either wrong, or right. I thought to convert litres to gallons to multiply it by 0.22. I've done that every time, and on last fill up, I got 49mpg. According to that on PUG306, I got 58mpg

I've had 400 miles out of a tank before with it... Back in the day lol!

It only gets used at weekends now, and that's the sort of mileage it returns haha.

The convertor is using American Gallons at 1litre = 0.2641721 US Gallons as opposed to UK Gallons which are 1 litre = 0.2199692UK Gallons.

Hence getting 58mpUSg not 49mpUKg

On the S4:

Miles - 280
Cost - £70
PPL - 123.9

...25p p/mile.. ouch!

Costs well over £80 to fill the Omega, that's on normal unleaded.. b*stard 75 litre tank!!

Lookin' grim..
