last night was spent in A&E after my little boy decided to ride his bike down a very steep grass bank, unfortantly the bike went quicker than him and he hit a wooden fence post with his head and then the concrete path
so i was sat in A&E with lots of other hurt children around, including on child who had eaten a metal ballbearing, and one who had burnt her hand by touching a bbq
The whole thing got me thinking about accidents you have as a child. so anyone got any stories of accidents they had as a child?

i broke my arm trying to jump over a slide when i was about 6.
i broke my nose hanging off the back of a bench which fell on top of me, then the next day fell and headbutted a concrete step and had 11 stitched in my forehead.
i also pulled a boiling kettle of water all over my legs!
ended up with social services coming round as they thought my mum and dad were abusing me, i feel bad now as i can remember doing them all myself

only things i've been to A&E for were in 2 weeks of each other when i was about 2. the first being i opened the front door and fell out of it, smacking my face on the floor, then shortly after my brother or sister ( i can't remember which ) put a blanket on my head and i walked clean into the end of a radiator and bust my face open again. social services came round after those two incidents.
the only time after that was when i ws 17 and ran through a doorway with no shoes on and caught my little toe on the doorframe and fucked it up pretty badly

when i was about 10 or 11 I tripped up on the playground at school and slid across it on my front completely destryoed my left knee
The school bandaged it up then undid it to show my mum when she arrived by which time it was just a gaping hole of muscle and blood
Ended up with stitches in it in the end and pain on and off for a few years following....the scar still goes blue in winter

my mate Gav did the best one i've ever heard. he found a bottle of tipex when he was about 3 and decided to paint his dick with it. his skin had a reaction to the chemicals in the tipex and he ended up in hospital to have it removed.

I crashed my bike into a Land Rover; went over the bonnet and bit through my top lip when my face hit the floor. Got gravel rash all down my face, chest and arms...................
worst thing was that the land rover was parked up!

Got stabbed in the leg with some sort of kitchen knife. Went to A&E to have it bandaged up and had to have a few injections too. Still have a gaping scar just above my knee.
Wasn't an accident either.

when i was 3 i found a packet of razor blades on the floor in Tesco's when my mum was shopping, i picked them up and put them in my pocket. when i got home i opened the packet and started to cut up a book, i ended up cutting the tip of my finger off and put a big cut into my little finger, had a load of stitches in both.
when i was 10 me and my mate found a bag of cement dust, we both chucked it at a wall and both ended up with cement dust in out eyes, ended up at A&E having it washed out
