ST-3 is a higher model, more toys etc
Dunno about the insurance but I wouldn't like to guess, probs a lot with it being a 2.5.

insurance will be about £2500 depending who you go with.
i'm signing the papers for my orange st-3 on wednesday and picking it up friday.
i'm 20 with 2 years NCB and been driving 2 years a 1 month. my insurance on it is £2407 a year with elephant.co.uk
if you've been driving under 2 years expect your insurance quote to be about £4500 with elephant.co.uk or bell.co.uk but as soon as you put 2 years driving experience in it shoots down to about £2500
i have 2 named drivers on my policy, my mum and my nan which also keep the insurance down quite a lot (about £500 difference than if i put my dad on it).
ST-2 has normal cotton? seats, which you can choose to have colours such as red/blue/orange or anthracite on and a sony single CD player.
ST-3 has full leather recaro seats (2 front ones are heated) with a 2 seater rear seat (it's only a 4 seater) and a SONY 6CD player
if theres anything else you need to know then i'll tell you when i get it

nope, haven't driven one but my mate has one and i had a play with it with my car, to say he left me standing still is an understatement
and i know you can go faster for less money, but thats the case for everything. could just buy a 100 quid shitter and stick a huge engine in it, but it wouldn't be brand new and look like a focus st

i never asked for a test drive as i knew i would want one anyway but i suppose if you work for ford then they'd let you.

it's 4k for a reason though, because it's old.
when the focus st's 10 years old or more, i'd expect to pay around the same for it.
decent impreza's new are well over 20k. same goes for the evo's.

yeah but mine is ALL mine, i dont owe any company money/ have finance on it, just hard work
i wouldnt wana be paying finance on a 20k car, specially when not alot will touch a fast impreza on uk roads

i can't get insured on an impreza or an evo as i'm 20 with 2 non fault accidents to my name.
so the focus st was the only other choice really, apart from an astra vxr.
and the car is still mine at the end of the day. i keep it at the end of the 2 years, it's no a lease car or anything.
if i had 16k laying about (that's what i got it for) then i'd buy it, but i don't. i still have enough to comfortably pay the finance off though so that's the option i had to take.
and it's still my money that i worked hard for at the end of the day. so it's no different.

I think its idiotic buying brand new cars but I bet its really nice to have one,
the Impreza and the ST both have different Pros and Cons though
