Halfords sticky pads
Used these myself. First time I used too sparingly and they fell off. Luckily it was when it was parked and some kind sole put the plate on my windscreen for me So I bought some more and used the whole pack, which did the trick

Mine are currently on with halfords pads, only down point is they charge 3 pounds for 3, you have to buy 2 packs

I cut mine into a few strips to get more coverage.

get the sticky pads.
but YOU NEED to heat them up before you stick them on as they will not bond with the paint if they aren't hot.
get a hairdryer and use it on the sticky pads for about 1 minute until they go soft and hot. then stick them down and they will never come off

just normal ones from a local motorfactors.
they are thin strips which cost 25p each. look like strips of glue but hardened.
