Not too bad tbh, im paying £60 per week for stable (nice, new stable too), on a working farm, with outdoor arena and 480 acres of fields (including cross country course), you can use at your leisure, insurance is £25 per month, feed is about a tenner per month, hay is £1 per day, but as hes living out for summer I wont need to pay that, straw is about £2 per bale, which again i wont need much of as hes living out.....just bought EVERYTHING today, except saddle, cost me about £200, thats for bridal, reins, martingale, headcollar, leadrope, 2 feed bins, feed bucket, water buckets, lunging rein, full grooming kit, new riding boots, half chaps, fly repellent, garlic, 2 25kg bags of feed, lunging whip, fork and broom for stable cleaning, salt lick, rugs, numnah, etc etc

horse's arnt expensive.. i dont know why people think that its lots of money
we dont buy fancy rugs , or anything fancy for him at all! so inexpensive! it all depends on breed and what you want to do with them and where you keep them etc...

we pay £20 a week rent, got a school, got big stable's with 1 other horse there aswell.. 3 feilds, good places to ride... we have to statve him because hes greedy! he has handful of dengie at night with his garlic powder and 2 slabs of wet hay.. just to stop him from being bored if he in stable.. we have to keep him in electric fenced off area - he's just greedy and wil find all the grass and it wil be gone overnight!
his tack my mum probably has had about 20 years tbh lol

the scariest thing money-wise, is when it all goes wrong, but insurance should solve that.
Lasses up the farm just call him moscow or mossy, owner called him harry, but i want to call him charlie because of this:

tbh i mainly wanted a horse for a hack, but given his ability it would be a waste. I used to do 3 day eventing, but moscow hasnt been in a school for years so will be out for sorts for dressage! Will just take things slowly as hes been out for work for a while and see where things go
