For complete standard Brake set (Discs and pads) + fitting good price?

I think I have the dreaded warped discs (shakey steering wheel from braking hard at highish speeds)

And hopefully this should sort it

Knowing my luck it won't make fook all difference

That is all - have a nice day and enjoy the heat wave

have you upgrade to 256x24 otherwise reffered to as Mk3/Cav brakes that will make a difference

You wont have warped disks you will have deposits on the disks.

But thats not a bad price if you think you want to change them...

Well it was £54.39 for the discs and pads (I thought was pretty good ) and my mate said he could do them in about 1hr 15 mins

He said that apparently Vauxhalls are really bad for flipping the master cylinder or something doesn't mean much to myself but he is a good grease monkey

Firstly I would get your tracking done and wheels balanced. Then whip the disks off and get them cleaned up with a angle grinder and a attachment like:

Why won't the discs be warped? What kind of deposits are likely to be on the discs?

I know what warped discs are, I just don't see how you know they won't be warped.

I warped my 2.0 setup in a 1.2 with some heavy prolonged braking.

I don't get how the engine size dictates whether you can warp the brakes or not

You can get to 100+ in a 1.6 the same as you can in something bigger, you can also brake regularly and heat the brakes up the same as in something bigger.

The brakes will also be smaller than in something bigger, thinner metal etc.

Well I have had them done ! When taking my left tyre off I sort of noticed that umm it was smooth all the way around on the inner part of the tyre!!! me thinks I'm gonna have to put my other alloys back on!

I have also been told (not by the mechanic) that, that could be a sign of wheel bearings going
