Founder of TVR has died aged 85
Trevor Wilkinson 1923-2008As many of you will already know Trevor Wilkinson, the founder of TVR, sadly died on Friday.
PistonHeads has always had a close connection with TVR and as such we send out our condolences to the family.
Trevor, 85, died in hospital near his Minorcan home.
A statement on the TVR Club website said: ‘He was a quiet, reserved man, much loved by those whom he allowed into his circle of friends. He seemed unaware of the awe in which he was held by all TVR enthusiasts.
‘He was aware of the serious nature of his final illness but, according to a friend, took it in stoical fashion that was typical of the man.’
Since the news broke over the weekend this is the first opportunity we have had to put up a news story, although we appreciate this has already been discussed in the forums.
If anyone hasn’t already and would like to leave a message, a memory or anything else about Trevor we would welcome it on the thread below.
He will be sadly missed by everyone at PH.
