Broken ribs, fingers, dislocated knee and bruises/scrapes everywhere.
What's salvageable exactly? We struggled to find barely anything.

The wreckage, so they don't get 50 calls about a smashed up bike on the public footpath

Theyre meant to wait for a recovery company to collect it though id of thought. they did with my dads old bike.

Most engine cases are done. The only bits of the engine would be internal bits. Shock is bent. Both brake discs are done, and one calliper is mullered. Both wheels done.

I'll give you a little clue... The rev limiter is stuck on 16k RPM, and he was braking for ages (they rev to 20k).
He was in 2nd gear...
The R6-R does 85mph in 1st gear.
Feel free to work it out...

No skid marks.
Us bikers don't brake if it's obvious that you're gunna hit 'em.
That's why I've never got done in my accidents.

85mph in 1st, no it doesn't
20,000rpm, keep dreaming. MotoGp doesn't rev to that. Rev counters are up to 16,000rpm, but max power on the R6 is around 14,000rpm
And before you ask, i've been riding since i was 6, im now 27...........
So he's braking for ages, and its still at 16,000rpm..
Sound like a complete bell end to me. As for not braking for accidents, dude, seriously, are you writing this purley for cool points or do you use any common sense?????

And I quote...
With direct air induction: 99.6 kW (135 PS) @ 14,500 rpm
Without direct air induction: 94.9 kW (129 PS) @ 14,500 rpm
Rev counter actually goes to about 17,000rpm, but it over reads on the revs, always has and most bikers know about it.
Great bikes, in the right hands. Sorry, no sympathy, and im a fellow biker. You do not hoon around pedestrian estates. Simple Common sense (or stupiditty in your friends case).

I think that has been fixed on the 08 model. I agree as well about not getting any 'cool points' for not braking . You'd want to scrub as much speed off as possible before a solid object impact to either allow you to reduce the impact force or to simply make it easier to steer the bike away, if possible.
