hey all i just tried to sort out bumpstops on the corsa and just check the suspension out...with that sorted decided to take the car for a well derserved pointless blast up a national...
was just changing the 3rd at a nice 5000rpm...exhaust blasting on the little 1.4 when i was greated round the corner by u traffic cop...every car breaking...3 police cars pulled up and about 6/7 empty cars and a lorry. Guessing they checking the old tax as its early in the month...LMAO thou, its 10:30 am and they have that many people without tax/MOT/insurance haha, well if uve forgot i wudnt go out in the car today if its national fack people over without tax day

Fuck warning people. They should buy tax. I hope they get caught.
Besides, it's hardly unusual, they're parked up all the time pulling people over near where I live.

Thought the DVLA knew when you didnt have tax now automaticly and they then send the SAS round to your house if cars driven

it wouldnt have suprised me but it was the sheer beauty of the little operation...the one traffic cop driving up and down the road roundabout to roundabout pulling them up and the fact the is soooo many people being screwed

i reported a car in my street three times to the dvla. Still nothing has been done.

Is the car worth alot? If not then thats why. They usually go for the more expensive ones as there is more chance people will pay for them to be released once they have been impounded, and if not collected they will fetch a higher price at auction too.

What pisses me off is the police are taken out of there job to check cars for TAX. They check nothing else as i always drive past for a laught as all my cars show up on the police data base as having no insurace as i have a traders an not once have i been stopped and asked why my car show no insurace.
What they normal do is bill you on the spot 200pounds and then once you have taxed you car (aslong as its within 14days) they refund you 120 of it. An then send you a fine for the time your car wasent taxed.
BUT its not all about money for the goverment you know

To be honest they cant even hold on to your details without losing them so sending out fines at the correct time and to the correct people is going to be a right challenge to them.

Our local force confiscated some untaxed cars, including a 52 plate BMW coupe, 05 plate 307 estate and a 54 plate Mini Cooper S convertible. All three have been donated to the Police Driving School, but the BMW and the Peugeot will be used for normal driving and they're going to turn the Mini into a driving simulator
