me and the girlie are on about planning long weekends away.. a few of them
my ideas have been..
Cornwall
Paris
Edinburgh
Warwick (cos she likes castles and stuff)
Ideas please peeps.. doesnt have to be in the UK just need places that are easy enough to get to.
on about half days on the friday and leaving then, so we have 2 full days wherever.

I would stay in the this country somewhere that's not such a long drive either, there's loads of nice places within a couple of hours of you wherever you live! No point wasting most of it travelling imo!

Given the cost of petrol here I wouldn't bother driving any great distance in the uk for a weekend break.
Check your local airport for easyjet flights then book a hotel direct.
By the time you have bought/flogged on your quota of cigarettes the holiday will have almost paid for itself

Lincolnshire is a really nice place to stay for a couple of days. Especially the area surrounding the cathedral - which looks amazing when it's lit up at night

Lake District is OK for the weekend if you travel Friday and come back Monday...
I do that with some mates every year.
Camping in Tintagel is good fun, the wifey an d I did that a couple of years back....was a laugh!!!

lake district defo, i've always wanted to go to torquay! Edinburgh was fun when we went and you really can't beat a hol to scarborough ha ha. Abroad I really liked Malta it has a lot of oldy towns and stuff to look at! not too far either.
