What are your views on this?
We had a little discussion at work & things got a little heated when someone startedbashing their bible a bit too much 
The bible says we were just put here in our current form, the theory of evolution suggests that we evolved from a more basic life form (it would seem some people are still playing catch up)
What does everyone think? Im interested to see what "the youth of today" have to say about it

Evolution
I think it's nice that some people believe in a religion and the bible stories etc etc, but to me it doesn't seem logical how there was nothing and then people appeared etc etc.
I'd like to believe in something like that but I feel that it would have to be prooved to me totally before I could honestly start believing it.

When that cern thing gets going, it should hopefully become a bit clearer of what kicked it all off and it can start being pieced together.

had some johovais (sp) people round the other week and he asked me what i thought i said evolution he goes but who put what ever started the big bang there so it could happen. (hope that made sense) and i felt like saying ok then where did god come from? but i didnt fancy an argument whilst i was half asleep in my dressing gown tbf

The flood was probably one of the singular believable things in the bible....the ark was pretty well documented in the ancient texts (size/design etc)
The problem lies in the blinkered faith that 'assumes' that the flood was global...wheras it was most likely the flood was regional somewhere in the middle east.
I think most people accept the bible was written by the followers of Jesus and bastardised by the Romans to reflect what they wanted it to say at the time.
TBH I've never heard/read anything that makes any sense of time before christ by any christain to this date

I'm sure there must be a bit in the bible saying that incest is bad. That puts a huge flaw in the whole Adam and Eve theory. Even if that bit isn't in there, people would be so fucking inbred they would stop working if every person was the offspring of just two people.
Evolution is the obvious way things happen. However people are stupid so they need(ed? - I wish) a description as to how they were on the earth. That comes in the form of religion. If you look at some of the storys in the bible a lot of them are plausable, especially when you take into account the artistic licence and propaghanda that is highly likely to have been added into it.
