D4MO B the car is no more. An era is nearly over for me. The car is now back to its original plate, and D4 is now a Bandit 650S Not quite the same, but a tempory measure until I eventually get a proper 2nd bike. Need me a mis spaced plate though, looks a bit lame with

D4
MOB

Vultures, 4 odd weeks more and the bidding begins on whats left on the corsa. Strange thing is, I don’t feel sad about it any more. The more bikes I ride, the more I walk away from cars.

Is anyone actually interested in a 1996 corsa shell? VERY clean shell, only slight rust around spare wheel well where the plates where welded in. Its only got about 50k on the clocks. If someones interested in the whole car, drop me a PM, (NO airdam, NO engine, NO bonnet, and will need a new bootlid (sold my smooth one, replacement is dented)). I’d rather get shot of the car as it is rather than arsing around stripping the thing. I’ll put a proper advert in classifieds.

No need to be sad, im not. I've had lots and LOTs of fun in that little car, its been a good toy. Its made me smile, its made me cry, its made me bleed, its cost me a fortune, but it was all worth it.

But, rebuild 2.0 Corsa, or save for a Benelli Tornado (bike), really no contest

I just want rid of it all now. Best get those wheels off and start polishing them again.

Myke, indeed, bigger and better things.

Tom, nahhh, too top heavy, Benelli is far more chuckable. Dad had a Tornado, it was written off (driver jumping red lights, shattered his thigh/hip in 20 places). He bought a MV 312R Augusta, spent about £3k on carbon before he could ride it. Wasn't a nice riding position, suspension quite hard for the road, so sold it and bought another Nelli.

List price is about £7500 for the Tre Tornado 900. Then there is the RS model, and the all carbon fibre LE model. LE is about £22,000. Then there is the 1130cc model, and all the other types.

Can't say i know of any custom paintjob Nellis just yet. If it was at a bike show, and had Do Not Touch signs, then could be the LE mentioned, theres a US guy selling his who had it on the stand.

1098 is about £17-£18k. But then you have different models.

With bikes, they can look the same, but suspension/brakes etc are upgraded and most people wouldn't know the difference.

I cannot afford one for a while yet, but get to use the old mans. Its a stunning ride, nice feel for UK roads, lovley triple power delivery. Not straightline WOW fast, but will still easily see the wrong side of 160.

Plus, I looked the f-ing nuts riding it through Edenbridge town center, checking my pimpin self in the windows like a right whoare. I loved it

Old man's old one at Misano.

Honestly, you need to see one in the flesh to really see all the tiny details. Yes a jap bike will be faster, cheaper, more reliable...

But then why do we all own modified corsas? Who wants to be "another joe bloggs"
