ive got it 
its so so... mine records certain programmes onto the hdd for playback later..
records alot of junk but im happy with scrubs, everybody hates chris, american chopper, the garage, frasier, that 70's show, pimp my ride, punkd to name a few

I don't think you get live channels? Just programmes?

no channels as such, it records programmes from channels such as paramount, mtv, uktv gold, history channel, tcm

Not really worth it in all honesty. If you have BT Broadband and a home hub, then get BT Vision. Same sort of thing, but cheaper.
