Simple question. Obviously prices range a lot but just a rough range would be great. How much would people advise to put aside to source, fit and run a LET conversion? A good strong engine is essential too. Cheers lads.

ok ill tell you wot i tell everyone.........firstly how long is a piece of string??? wot power do you want, how mint do you want it to look..........etc, etc

for a standard conversion, engine, engine mounts, shafts, intercooler, exhaust modifying, boost piping, coolant pipes, brakes, suspension plus loads more little things will be needed...........at least youd want to compression test the engine, have the head off and replace the head gasket, timing belt and tensioners......inspect the clutch and flywheel beofore you think about putting it in, but then again alot of people dont bother............so really it comes down to how much you have to spend and how good a job you want done on it! you then have the predicament if the turbo is any good etc............

Didn't really answer my question there kid. If you read the post, I stated I know its a rough estimate but there has to be some sort of easy medium of price. I am aware what you need to do the conversion, I'm no stupid. I simply required a little feedback of costs from someone who has done the conversion. In responce to YOUR reply thanks but it wasn't that helpful.

P.S: The length of a piece of string is from the middle to end, twice.

going to PV but not taking any cars, nothings really finished. If i do take anything it will be the Superbike engine Quad i have been building for a customer and running it on the 1/4 for a laught. Also the past 2 years i have stood next to my car (as i am a stress head ) so never really get to see anything, atleast this year i can see everything and enjoy it

mine cost me about 3500 that includes buying the car and everything, did all the work myself which saves a fair bit. sold the car a few weeks ago for 4500. have a look in my garage for the spec etc
