I've had a renwal quote through the post of 995 quid from my isurance company which is due in a few days after PV, and thought; seeing as I'm a named driver on my Father's Policy and have 2 years ncb With 1 claim ( bump in a car park- no damge on my car but a dent on 3rd party's), I'd look into getting insurance in my name.

So far I've had a quotes between 2.3K and 4.8K pounds and most insurance companies won't touch me because of the car :shock:. According to them; I have 0 NCB and that Tinted windows add a grand on to the policy

What a Pain in the Arse :@

Any tips from you people to try and get it cheaper?

You don't build up NCB as a named driver usually, unless its one of those specific Direct Line policies that says so?

They were quotes by phone. I'm with Elephant atm, The way my policy is written it shows that I do have NCB

Thy seem to be cheaper online but without "Modifications"

you only have NCB with that company, ive been a named driver for 3 yrs
