Next week (Tuesday until Friday) ive got a trial as a technician

2 out of 30+ students have been offered the a trial there and apparently (so my tutorr says) theres 2 jobs going aswell!

Will be doing services and re-calls and things like that.


Anything to do/look out for?

Don't be an idiot quite frankly. Don't answer back, take your time, listen, watch and be vigilant i.e. health & safety. It will be better to take your time, than completely fuck up something because you've been rushing.

Not sure tbh. If they take me on after the trial week my tutor said ill be on £170-180 a week, which seems alot for an apprentice.

good luck mate

like others have said, ALWAYS look busy

i always make sure i pick all bolts and shit up off the floor when i've got no engines to build and give my area a quick tidy up as it shows that you are pro-active and are willing to do more than your job requires of you.

also, make sure you ask questions on anything you don't understand, over and over again until you understand it. nothing like do a job which you don't really have a clue about. it won't make you look stupid by asking, it will make them see that you care about the job you are doing
