Passed my 8 hour theory exam two weeks ago and passed the 2 day practical course today

Im now a Corgi Registered Gas Installer

I no longer carry the HORRID apprentice title

I started straight from school, with no experience at all, I was working with a good team though and they taught me well,

cause I started from school the government paid for it My mate at college though had to pay, it was a grand to start the course but your company will most probably pay half if not all of it

I only get the basic test though off the government, that lets me install pipework and boilers, that means I have to pay £450 and go back for another 3 days training to be legal to fit cookers fires and water heaters even though their easier than boilers, im doing that in july

I have to pay £150 to learn about energy efficiancy as well thats in a few weeks too

yeah I dont have the head for uni, im more of a manual person my G/F is in 15ks worth of debt already with 1.5 years of uni left, shes away from her family and is working hard constanly, shes going to be an optician and they make roughly the same as plumbers she has spent alot more than me

I can do forigners too which she cant

I dont particularly have the head for uni either, but i was a big girls blouse and wanted to do something clean....grown up a little bit now and tbh for the money u can earn its probly worth getting greasy and possibly scolded every now and again
