Quick enough for a car that is still sensible to insure. It's also reliable because it's not tuned yet. They also corner nice. Drive one.

Ask lil_g. But judging by the text i had the other day i wouldnt say there is much in it tbh.Never got to race one when i had it. But i did race my mates Astra VXR (which is meant to be quicker) and i was quicker than that up to at least 60 Which is when it started pulling back.

Funny you mention the Corsa VXR as I went in one for the 1st time yesterday, and I wasen't impressed at all.

They seem quite slow considering alot of people have been raving about them.

1st corsa that handles well though!

How much do they weigh? perhaps that has something to do with it?

You're not going to believe me, but There is this dual track by me, and off the lights (mature, I know) the Corsa VXR does 120mph to the dip at the end. Which is excatly the same as my old brocade yellow sport on a good day

My brothers old valver used pull quite alot away eaisly.

I wasn't impressed either monster. TBH I was expecting to get wooped by it as there's been quite a build up to it but it just wasn't?
Lovely cars yes but not very fast for the money you're paying out!

very heavy for what it is (like nearly all modern cars)

puts up a good fight with a focus st though, apparently 0.4 seconds slower to 60

Not so little IMO. A Corsa D looks the same size as an Astra Mk3
