The house that I've had an offer accepted on currently has a water meter. Would it be possible in the future to have this changed back? As only my gf and myself would be living there it would probably work out cheaper with the meter but it always good to know.

Its suprising how all the fees are adding up, so far we're looking at £300 for a mortgage survey, £300 fee for the mortgage, £700 solicitors goes on and on!!

I thought once houses were on meters they wouldnt remove them, as the idea is to have all houses on them in the future (hence why new ones have no choice?!)

Mmmm, thats what I have always been told. I find it a bit cheaper on a meter anyway tbh I hose my garden most nights and wash 4 cars everyweek and my bill is less than it used to be before I was on a meter.
