the car is on standard suspension with 17 inch wheels but I'm thinking it needs some smaller wheels and lowering

cleaning it was the worst bit
best bit taking it for its first dirve (fast as f*** compared to 1.2 power)

in all it took me about 3 weeks from start of rebuild to fitting in the car

food machinery engineer by trade (16 years time served)
so I can do almost anything mechanical.......just having a few problems with fault codes on the engine and the electrical side of things

faults are,

56 air control solonoid....high voltage
15 coolant temp sensor ....high voltage
71 air temp sensor....high voltage

any ideas on how to cure them?.....she runs like a dream but these faults are niggling at me as I'd rather have it right.

Although why have you fitted an LSD but still kept the standard inlet?

I'm planning on changing the inlet when funds allow!
the lsd.....limited slip differential was expensive, thats why I can't afford to do the inlet yet! but it will be done.

I also added 288 cams, while I had it in bits.......save doing it all at a later date

which inlet would you go for? or would you go for throttle bodies?

I'm only saying bodies coz you have fitted an LSD so you may as well get your moneys worth.

As far as i know, Dave A hasn't fitted an LSD to his, thats was on 200bhp.

Mine is going to be a track car with close to 150bhp and i'm not thinking about needing an LSD. There just won't be enough power there to warrent one.

If you get TB's and set up well, you could be hitting 180bhp with them cams. I'm sure that someone will look in and correct me on that. It'll not be far off.

well steve.....the lsd was bought and payed for so its in there for future added power lol

cool...bodies it is then......

just out of interest.....what would the power be like if it was turbo'd?
I've noticed that there are turbos for sale for the x16xe.

Interesting comment that. My XE corsa massively needs an LSD and would benefit hugely from having one. I guess if your corsa isn't an XE, and is going to be a tuned up 1.6 then you'll have a bit less torque, so maybe it won't be an issue. If you've got a FWD track/fast road car thats making anything above 140bhp, then IMO an LSD is the single best thing you could do to improve the car.
