Usually when taking out a new policy, there is quite a hefty deposit (usualy 2months cover in one payment) and with a high premium comes a high deposit.

Are there any companies that allow lower deposits?

depends...
with my first policy there wasnt a set amount, the more i could pay the less my monthly payments were.. so just paid what i had in my bank at the time , £100

second policy i had a set deposit i had to pay for the monthly payments im paying....
