My mates girlfriend has been after a corsa VXR but her insurance is going to be too expensive to justify buying one......so she spotted this on pisotnheads
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/518036.htm
Shes concerned as the car was advertised on pistonheads around 3weeks age and was bought by this guy. Hes now put it back on pistonheads (with an extra 1,400 miles on the clock). He says that the reason for the quick sale is that it was for his girlfriend but she got a new job and a company car in the meantime, hence the sale.
Whats more worrying is that its been revealed that its a cat c, obviously now repaired.
Ive told him to phone DVLA, ask them if its received documentation to say its been repaired properly, have a HPI and possibly phone the guy who originally had ot advertised.
What are your thoughts?

Looks dodgy tbh, different reg on two of the pics and I question how come anyone is able to source the entire kit, dash, interior, steering wheel, even the gear knob is 6 speed?
I wouldn't go near it myself.

Just noticed that the pics were taken on 10/08/06 even though the car is 2007!? could be that the camera is set up wrong?

i reckon he bought it, without doing an hpi check, then afterwards has realised its a cat c so is trying to get rid.
did your mate do an hpi check or did the seller tell him?

The seller told him over the phone, says he has a document which proves that it has been certified as road worthy, would the dvla confirm this?
ALso ive been told that you cannot buy new VXR parts from the dealership unless you hvae a VXR. SO if this is genuine, he went to a lot of time and expense in sourcing all the parts!

It's even got big brakes and blue calipers. That's either the best SXi conversion in the world or a complete ringer.

Up for sale so quick after the original sale? I'd have considered it after the original sale, not now though.
If she want something the insurance will be kind to her on, look out for a Corsa C 1.4 SRi facelift, if she's intent on Vauxhall

Tbh, there's no harm in going to have a look if you're local. If you're serious about buying it, what's £20 / 30 on a HPI check when you're spending £7000?
