As the Ibiza cupra is up for sale im looking for a new car...
Something of a clio 197 and corsa vxr size...Ive even considered a Leon cupra R but its a TAD large for me and what i need it for...
Evo and Subura are out of the question as for a decent spec the insurance is far too high...Something up for a grp 17 maybe...
I know a few people have got clio 197s as im looking at the gold on or a corsa vxr in black...
Just looking for opioins really as u lot know more than me..
Also has to be a turbo...

I would have the Clio over the corsa, especially if its in either White or Liquid Yellow
The cupra R is a big car but its quicker than both and the handling is suprisingly great on it and will keep up either pretty well in the twisties

Corsa Surely, if it HAS to be a turbo?
Clio is a 2.0 N/A Engine.

imo id go for the vxr, thats only because i am abit biased towards vauxhall and to me the tuneing potential seems that little bit bigger
haveing said that, a whight or yellow 197 would be

The Fucus RS is nice but a bit expansive imo, the ST is alot nicer lookin
UK scoobys are shit imo, very over rated and very expensive to run

There a few Vxr on PH for 12k with 4k miles on them and one in black...Which is what i want...
Will it be quicker than my stage 1 cupra?Ive raced one in it and beat it but the driver couldnt drive for shit...
i fancy something that wont depreacate loads and i can keep for a few years and just enjoy

Nah, the 197 is a 2.0 Naturally Aspirated Engine...
The 225 Renault engines, in the Megane par example, are however, 2.0T engines.

With a couple of simple mods, the Scooby could be a hell of a lot quicker. But that's a given really on most turbocharged cars these days. On the fifth gear test, the Corsa was quicker in the straights, but the Clio was slightly faster through the bends. But as said, the tuning potential on the Corsa is greater than the french equivilant!

If you want to keep it stock i'd have the clio.
If you want to throw abit more money at it later on, the corsa could be the better car imo

Out of the list you gave, focus RS is probably the better car.
