As above, any UK employer has obligation to risk assess and provide any necessary Health/Safety equipment. I'm sure overalls would come under this category...?

Dickies are the best. Take it from me.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Personal Protective Equipment At Work Regulations 1992
Would come under COSHH Regulations 2002, too.

Why would over alls come under COSHH? COSSH is purely down to hazardous chemicals and how they are contained.

The main things that over alls etc would come under are PPE act and manual handling.

He is correct ppe at work regulations 1992

Oil,petrol, brake fluid, battery acid, power steering fluid are all liquids which require you to have overalls.

Then theyre also meant to cover you from harm when an engine exhaust etc is hot and stop you getting burnt.

They must be "CE" marked to comply with regulations.

I figured it'd come under controlling exposure to the substance, which falls under COSHH. Maybe not.
