Going to a wedding with the missus on Sunday as her aunty is getting married (never met her even tho we have been together over 3 years) Anyway since im skint and tying to loose weight and have work on monday etc I text her saying I think I might drive there rather than get hammered (which if I start I will)
I get a phone call then asking why i want to drive and that she has some money for beers. Said I didnt really want to drink and that I have work on monday.
So she says well if you take car you'll wanna leave at about 10ish saying your bored, which I replied I dont wanna be there till 10 anyway (Considering it all stats at about 12) She then swore at me and hung up 
Am I being unreasonable here?

If you take the car you definitely can't drink.
If you don't take it you can have one or two, or at least enough to look happy. If she's buying then you can drink in moderation but still not gain weight or feel bad in work.
Driving rules all that out.

I can see why she got upset with the staying till' 10 comment, she's a girl and they love all this wedding rubbish so has probably been looking forward to it since it got arranged.
You're perfectly in your right to not want to drink though!

Not really, we were in a similar situation a few weeks ago. Invited to an engagement party. Colin wanted to take the car, so he wouldn't get wrecked. I didn't want him too cos I didn't think we would enjoy ourselves if he wasn't having a drink.
He didn't take the car in the end.....................oh how I wished I'd listened too him, he ended up totally hammered and acting like a prize cock

2 problems there though, I dont think she will pay enough for me to get hammered. But if she does, and I get hammered, then I wont end up going to work on monday (always have mega hangovers) which is why I dont wanna drink
