I dropped my old Corsa into 2nd doing about 75, that produced alot of black smoke

yeah that will cause it! This smelt like rubber burning.....was an american car show.....lots of muppets turned up in silly chaved up cars tho, just made themselves look daft next to all the v8's especially the little saxo that tried to race the mustang
