just been given a new roll in my job which basically means i travel up and down the country promoting our software and what it can do (for freight forwarding companies)
So today was a nice trip to Cardiff... 325mile round trip in the Veccy, company pay 49p a mile so thats not too bad. Plus its a day out the office
Going to Manchester for 2 days next week and Stansted tomorrow
Beats sitting behind the desk all day.. plus its nice and sunny right now so it seems even less like work

49p/mile amazing how quick that equates, and the fact it doesn't cost that much in petrol/derv.
What Vectra do you have?
And do you still get paid your wage/salary when doing the driving?

if your doing it day in day out it gets a bore ive done it and after 18months i'd had enough after 10000 miles it goes down to 25ppm iirc. lots of early mornings to get to bussiness on time was not nice

I went over to Bradford on Saturday and yesterday only an hour or so drive each way but it was great, much better on Saturday cos I was in my car, yesterday I was in my van, it's just not the same
Had some girls at a set of lights shouted me and started saying they like my car and my seats look smart, offered me a race too but then backed down before I told em it's slow
I like long drives aslong as I'm driving, I get really bored as a passenger. We do a half hour drive to Trafford Park every week and when my brother drives, I'm usually sat there yawning my head off after 5 mins on the motorway

Shame it isn't a derv, you'd be getting better MPG I would have thought.
But yeah, exactly, so that's £110 saved for the toy car, without even earning it, as such

come the end of this month i will have £3450 in my bank for a toy.. thinking on only spending £1-2k on something small (probably a corsa again) then save for a few months and do a complete overhaul and make it go quick

i used to have to travel to the site we were doing a project on, so i got 150 miles of fuel expenses and overtime for the time spent travelling, but i ended up doing 12/13 hour days, so I was fooked by the end of the week and my back hated me.... the corsa wasn't the best motorway car! Earnt a fair bit mind....

If I had to travel that much for work I'd expect a company car
Feck putting all those miles on your own car and decreasing it's value

Its mine and my dads company, currently use sigma. The stuff your selling may be a bit more advanced than we need at the moment.

FFS how do you get in the freight forwarding / Import / Export sector. It pisses me off. I fancy doing it for a change but all I ever see if experienced people required. Never any offers for learning always 1 or 2 years min experience. I work in the shipping industry as well on the comms side and it's so hard to get an interview .
