I would guess than the references to it being a project car and needing finishing are because it's damaged or needs patching.
I also wouldn't buy it without a V5 regardless of writing a letter of sale which isn't worth a carrot.

yeah, i will see if i can find the thread, but i remember the rear smoothed off lights where pretty fucked. those pics on the advert must be quite old'ish ones.

I thought it's the law you must sell the car with a v5 nowadays?
Either way, Iaz's bodywork was good, the owners have had a lot of trouble with the engine, probably overheating? :/
