... might stop driving

decided it would be a brilliant idea to go to vauxhall and just to ask about a service for car etc...
ended up buying a new passanger side 'side skirt
Drove into gate to vaux to park in the space next to it (there was no other spaces) its tiny space around there and caught it on the sticking out hinges on the gate!... thank god it was that and not the paint/bodywork i cried
when i first got the car i did the same thing on a trolley park on a sticking out metal bit!, again luckily it caught the trim on the passenger door and not the paint/bodywork
really cant judge the distance in this car ! its really made me scared

But you even said yourself it was a tiny space. Things like this happen, I once drove over a kerb to get my car into a car space, and it sliced through my front tire. Laughed it off and then put the spare on. It happens.

Just look in the space before you enter it. If there are things you need to avoid you are better lining the car up straight away from the space rather than turning in to it. Then you can use the mirror and reverse without steering too much.

Why on earth would you be doing 50mph in your bed?

thought i did that ian
its like a one car entry entrance into a tiny car park outside the service area.. cars both sides.. didnt judge the swing properly i guess
im glad it wasnt bodywork...because alil could hear was crunchingggg and then i screamed and cried ..it was stuck on it...couldnt move forward or back..so made the decision to just go reverse back out the gate very slowly and parked it on the road....

I reversed into a building today I was in my van, manouvering about on a little bit of pavement, thought I had a few more inches, lifted the clutch, bang, just turned to my brother, 'that'll be the wall then' and carried on Just try and be more careful in future. People can tend to get a bit complacent then something like this happens and it just reminds you to be that bit more careful, it could've been worse, it could've been another car you hit

bumped a low wall which i didn't see in my corsa in my first month of driving....but that's why you get a cheap first car to learn from your mistakes
2 years down the line not touched a thing....think I would cry if i touched my astra, spent so much on getting every little scratch out
