Who here has chipped / broken a tooth before? What happens with it?

I have no idea yet, but I think i've chipped / broken at least one of my front teeth... can't see at the moment as my mouth is completed swollen and my lip is massive. All I can feel when i run my tongue across the teeth is a sharp edge.

Did this last evening and when I was actually sobre which made it twice as bad as it was bloody painful.

Basically we were just having a kick around... someone passed it to me, I ran backwards to recieve it looking backwards, while running forwards, then as I just turning back round ... bang impact! I'd just ran into a solid metal object full pelt, with the full force going on my right cheek / mouth. My mate's laughed, until they saw loads of blood It was just like those youtube videos you see when people stack it hard into things.

I don't mind swelling I can handle that, as it'll go down in a day or so, fingers crossed the cut on my lip isn't too deep and it'll heal without scaring, but what concerns me is my top front teeth. I personally would of expect something to be fucked (my main worry is it's pushed them all sideways / inwards) - but I can definately feel at least 1 that's quite sharp, i.e. chipped / broken.

So back to the original question, what does one do with this situation? is there anything i can do with the tooth if it is?

i did this to both my front teeth rollerblading when i was about 13. if the remaining part of the tooth is still in tact they'l mould some new enamel to the tooth. after that they'l crown it

Fingers crossed my front 2 teeth are alright - i think it's the one next to it that took the force... problem is metal on flesh / teeth metal wins.

think fates trying to stop me finishing this degree

but I definately think my mark has been compromised anyway

Before exams I was well on track for a 1st... but due to distractions like sorting out insurance / police for burgulary, or losing all my notes on my laptop, or ... etc

I really just hope i can still get a 2:1 as it's gone to shit with these exams really as a result.

I've ot half of one of my front teeth sheered off, got hit in the face with a cricket ball. The dentist, rebuilt the front of my tooth out of something (said she had never used the preceedure before at the time) he then removed all the nerve out of it etc. Something like that anyway, fucking hate cricket.

Knocked out one of my front teeth a few years ago. Have a cap now. One of my lower teeth is chipped and has been built back up.

my brother broke his tooth in half a few years ago (he's 11 now), and they just put a cap on it until he's 16 but it kept falling out.

usually if your over 16 ('m guessing you are) they just fit a cap on which will have a little colour difference but only close up
